Altana, in keeping with its strategy of continuous managed growth, is pleased to announce the reinforcement of its litigation and arbitration practices and expansion into the life sciences sector, with the arrival a new partner, Armand Aviges and the promotion of Caroline Duclercq.
Caroline Duclercq, who acquired 11 years of experience at Serge Lazareff before joining Altana as Counsel in 2012, has been made Partner. In addition to her experience as arbitrator and counsel under the auspices of several different arbitration rules, Caroline is a member of the board of directors of the French Association for Arbitrage and Director of the “Arbitration Law MOOC” University Diploma.
With this promotion, the firm further consolidates its presence in internal and external arbitration.
Armand Aviges specializes in product liability and industrial property. He accompanies pharmaceutical companies in “serial” litigations / class actions regarding health products.
He also has a recognized industrial property law practice (trademarks, patents, models, employee inventions) and has developed particular expertise in customs legislation related to falsified/counterfeit médications.
Before joining Altana, Armand participated in the founding of the firm Armfelt, where he was Partner, and had previously worked in the firms Latham & Watkins and Paul Hastings.
With this arrival, the firm significantly enhances both its technical offering, in dispute development, and its sectoral expertise, in the life sciences field.
